Wild Side: Nail Art Designs

Nail care is probably the most forgotten and understated task for the busy modern woman of today. It seems like just yesterday we were all marveling over the exaggerated nails of the stars of the early 2000's comedic film, Baps. Since then our nail design has shifted into a more manageable and conservative nail length and we've brought the same techniques and tools used in everyday craft, beauty and DIY projects, and we've repurposed them to make them work for nail design.

Modge Podge, washi tape, make-up sponges, pain brushes, scotch tape and reinforcement stickers are all essential tools for creating these art inspired nail designs.

To create an animal print inspired nail, apply animal print nail strips on all fingers as your base, and then apply reinforcement stickers on each finger. Paint your nails with a cool complimentary color to your print. Start at the edge of the sticker and paint to the tip of your nail. To seal your design, add a top coat to make certain your design has extra protection.

Here are a few other inspiring nail art designs that incorporate traditional art supplies, and beauty tools.
